Prestigious award for internationally-recognized project.
Congratulations to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) LaGuardia Airport Terminal B Redevelopment Capital Project on becoming the first recipient of the National Academy of Construction’s ‘Recognition of Special Achievement Award.’
The award, which will be formally presented at the Academy’s meeting in Scottsdale, AZ, on October 7, recognizes the creativity, innovation, vision, and accomplishments of the practitioners in the engineering, design, and construction industries.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey used a public-private partnership to design, build, partially finance, operate and maintain the new terminal. The LaGuardia Gateway Partners, the P3 developer, is composed of Vantage Airport Group, Skanska and Meridiam, Skanska-Walsh, HOK, WSP/Parsons Brinkerhoff, and JLC Infrastructure.
JMJ is proud to have partnered with Skanska-Walsh to turn their goal of instilling ‘Care for Life’ values to create an Incident and Injury-Free™ (IIF™) environment across the capital project. To find out how safety success went hand in hand with high performance project execution at the LaGuardia capital project, read the case study.
