A leading organization in the technology sector sought to achieve its long-term strategic intent
to improve project performance and overall project health by focusing on High-Performance Projects (HPP). Building on our long-term collaboration, leadership partnered with JMJ to implement our HPP framework across their European campus locations.

Solution

In partnership with our client, JMJ implemented a series of strategic solutions:

  • HPP Alignment Workshops brought together the client , Architectural Engineer (AE), and General Contractor (GC) teams. These workshops were pivotal in creating a unified project vision and addressing performance barriers
  • Next Level Workshops engaged the next tier
    of staff in embracing and personally owning the project vision and ways of working. These workshops were instrumental in surfacing barriers to performance and clarifying expectations
  • Biweekly Leadership Team Sessions were introduced to maintain momentum and ensure continuous improvement. These sessions focused on developing HPP tools and practices, building camaraderie, and fostering cultural understanding among team members
  • HPP On-The-Court Coaching sessions were integrated into weekly project progress meetings. These coaching interventions brought HPP skills directly into practice, offering insights on areas that needed focus to improve HPP health and project performance
  • Completion and Ready (CR) Performance Task Teams played a crucial role in achieving key project milestones. The CR teams, particularly focused on meeting deadlines, worked closely with the GC team

Results

Strong leadership provided by the project director and project manager ensured contractual promises were met, roles were clear, and personal ownership was emphasised. The HPP framework resulted in a collaborative environment, transforming adversarial relationships into cooperative ones and leading to faster problem solving and issue resolution.

As a result, the project achieved key Complete and Ready milestones within the required dates, despite initial scepticism about meeting these deadlines. The project saw return on investment close to 6:1, highlighting substantial efficiency gains and cost savings.
