LNGC’s Project China Fabrication Yards teams have won the prestigious Shell Gold Hard Hat Award from Shell Upstream for developing and implementing a front-line leadership program. The award formally acknowledges the excellent safety behaviors and many successes on the ‘Practical Leadership’ initiative.
JMJ has been providing its Incident and Injury-Free™ (IIF™) services to the LNGC project at multiple locations in China, Italy and Canada for three years. The project has enjoyed great safety success, and the ‘Practical Leadership’ program is widely recognized as adding to the safety and overall achievements at the China locations. To date, more than 500 supervisors in two fabrication yards have participated in a highly-interactive classroom program, followed by individual in-field coaching to put their new skills into action. The design, training and field coaching was led by JMJ consultants Yuan Hang, Simon Wang and Liyin Wang, supported by the Asia Pacific office.
“We are delighted to see LNGC’s strong commitment to safety as a value across its organization being recognized and celebrated with this well-deserved award,” said Mike Goddu, Founder and Partner at JMJ.
Our congratulations to LNGC project leaders Chris Cooper, Yousef Durubi, Gavin McInnes, Fabian Nieber, Huib-Jan Verschoof, Yingda Zheng and to everyone on the LNGC team who has taken part in the program.
