AUSTIN, TEXAS, December 14, 2011—In support of Skanska’s approach to safety, JMJ and Cementation Skanska have sponsored the Nick Bradbury Injury-Free Environment (IFE) Commitment Award in honor of Nick Bradbury, their recently retired, long-serving Operations Director.
The Nick Bradbury IFE Commitment Award will be awarded annually to an individual or team who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to IFE. Recipients of the award will have shown a commitment to recognize and acknowledge excellence in the safety and well-being of fellow workers, clients, partners, families, and friends.
The award was named after Bradbury in recognition of his commitment to safety within the construction industry. An inspirational leader and true champion for IFE, he has worked for many years in close partnership with JMJ. This award is intended to be a permanent reminder of the legacy he leaves in the Cementation Skanska business.
This year, The Nick Bradbury Annual IFE Commitment Award was awarded to Mark Hanniffy in recognition of his outstanding commitment to IFE during 2011. He was chosen to receive the award as an acknowledgment of his personal dedication to safety and maintaining a strong safety culture.
“Mark lives in Ireland but works in the UK so he is away from his family all week,” said JMJ consultant Louise Wheal. “I was thrilled to meet him and personally experience the huge difference an award like this can make to an individual. It is wonderful that Mark’s personal dedication and passion for taking care of people has been recognized in this way.”
